What was the reason for designing a new handle?
The Gen 2.0 handle was developed in response to customer feedback, which highlighted the need for simplicity, greater durability, and easier cleaning. These insights directly informed the design improvements made to the handle.
 
Is the Gen 2.0 handle compatible with the current Portion Pal™ canister, rod, and portion rings?
Yes, the Gen 2.0 handle is fully backwards compatible with all Portion Pal™ components.
 
Does the Gen 2.0 handle have a different part number from the current model?
Yes, the part number for the Gen 2.0 handle is PH201-1. The new part numbers for handles, including the rods, are as follows: PH216-1 (16oz Portion Pal™2.0 Handle) & PH224-1 (24oz Portion Pal™ 2.0 Handle).
 
Is the Gen 2.0 handle designed to be disassembled?
No, it is intentionally designed as a single piece to enhance durability, simplify functionality, and make cleaning easier.
 
Is the Gen 2.0 handle dishwasher safe?
The Gen 2.0 handle will withstand temperatures of 180°F/82°C, making it commercial dishwasher safe. For optimal performance and safety, we advise keeping the Gen 2.0 handle below 100°F/37°C when in use. Please note that, as per the American Burn Association, severe burns can occur when in contact with substances above 120°F/48°C.
